Your dog will be living their best lives in our two bedroom house with a fully fenced in backyard located in a quiet, safe neighborhood in Mar Vista. They will have full access to the house and are allowed on the furniture. Their day encompasses lots of supervised play, walks, belly rubs, ear scratches, cuddles and rest times. Dogs boarding overnight will be warm and safe. They may choose to sleep in our bed or on a dog bed in the bedroom. We also happily accommodate any dogs that sleep in a crate.
We have a deck and a secure fenced-in backyard. There are sunny and shaded areas for lounging and playing. We even have a mini-dog pool for those hot summer days!
The dogs go on daily dog walk adventures filled with sniffing to their hearts content in our quiet Mar Vista neighborhood. Overnight guests go out for a potty break first thing in the morning and before turning in for the night. We take two walks a day.
Fresh drinking water is always available and dog waste is picked up throughout the day.
We have watched all types of small to medium dogs including: super mutts, Pomskies, Yorkies, lots of chihuahua’s, Frenchies, Corgi’s, other terriers of all kinds, mini-doodles, full on doodles, Havanese, King Cavalier Spaniels, Toy Poodles, on and on. We love them all!

How many dogs do you host at a time?
We can host up to six dogs a day since there are two of us here. We usually only accept small dogs under thirty pounds but we sometimes make exceptions. We love to take the time to get to know each of your dogs individually and as a pack. Too many dogs would take the fun out of it so we cap it at six.
What shots are required? Flea Treatment?
Rabies vaccination is required by law. Please bring proof of all up-to-date vaccinations recommended by your vet which may include DHPP, Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza. For the health, comfort and safety of all the animals, we require that all dogs staying or visiting Camp Bubs be on some type of flea medication.
Do you have experience with senior dogs, and giving meds?
Yes! My beloved dog Bucket lived to be seventeen years old. As he got older he developed a heart murmur, collapsed trachea and lost some teeth but he was always a happy, sassy guy. He was on heart meds and diuretics for years so I have experience with that.
I also have experience giving insulin shots, meds of all kinds, topical ointments, and eye drops to blind dogs. In addition, we have Bucket’s dog backpack so if your dog is no longer able to go on long walks they can ride with the pack instead!
Please label all meds and send clear instructions.
What will I do if an emergency occurs?
In an emergency, I will take your pet to the emergency nearest vet (in our case it is VCA). If it is a non-emergency I will contact you immediately. If you can’t be reached I will try your emergency contact.
Boarding insurance through PetCare Insurance is complimentary to you and provides $1000 toward veterinarian care for your dog if they become ill or injured while in my care. There is a $250 deductible and preexisting conditions are not covered.
What should I pack for Camp Bubs?
Please bring your dog’s food, a collar with ID tag, bed (optional) and a harness if you have one. I have plenty of bowls, toys, balls and extra dog beds. Don't bring favorite toys because I can't guarantee what condition they will be in when returned. Please label items if possible.
If possible, have your dog's ID tag on a collar so they are always wearing it. I use harnesses on walks and remove them in my home and yard for the comfort and safety of your dog and others.
